Pretty much what I'd hoped for: comfortable, feel reasonably sturdy, etc. Assembly took about an hour for each chair; directions are chiefly pictorial and relatively easy for anyone who's built models as a kid. If you take it one step at a time, not too hard, and there are extra bolts, nuts, etc. in case you drop stuffHowever... There are two phases to assembly: (i) attaching the chair to the base and (ii) attaching the arms to the chair. The first is simple. For the second, there's one trick - which is mentioned in the directions, but easy to ignore. That is to NOT tighten (i.e., leave LOOSE) ALL of the chair/arm connectors until ALL are in place, and then tighten. Turns out that this is because the arms act as giant springs, and getting all the holes, etc. to line up is NOT easy if one end is already fixed. I also suggest assembly on a padded table top, as there's a good deal of flipping, etc. involved that's harder if everything's on the ground. Finally, I found a pair of Vice-Grips super helpful during the tightening process due to the limited leverage provided by the L-shaped screwdriver included in the kit.The product is made wellThese are some beautiful chairs! It broke my heart when I had to send them back; one of the base did not fit with the seat of the chair :(I would purchase again if I am guaranteed all parts fit appropriately. It's no fun returning these big items without a truck.I ordered 4 of these chairs. We love them and they look great! Very sturdy and comfortable. However, 2 of the 4 chairs are missing the arms. I’ve contacted the company and I will post an update once I hear back from them.UPDATE: I contacted the company about the missing pieces and they sent them to us very quickly and without question. Very good customer service!I love these chairs. They fit perfectly on my balcony and look so nice. Only took me a couple of hours to put together once I figured it out. Directions could be better, but the chairs turned out great and they are really comfortable!We love these chairs, even if we have not moved them out of the family room. We can sit and them and watch the weather change from spring to winter then back again.They take two to put together but we had no trouble at all. I love them.
